Under direct supervision of Jakarta Science Coordinator at the UNESCO Office, Jakarta, to assist the implementation of daily operational works related to website’s content development and promotional activities, the incumbent shall undertake the followings assignments:
- Develop, maintain, and regularly update websites of CONNECT-Asia, E-learning website and other sites hosted by Jakarta Science Team in coordination with other staff : not limited to manage the websites of other sectors and programmes; including improving the content, functions and links of the websites.
- Undertake technical duties including website and database update, not limited to create new website(s) and develop the application for new projects being implemented by Jakarta Science Team.
- Produce and develop training materials or any publications (brochure, newsletter or any information distribution materials) and utilization of training/publication/reference/ materials, and teacher guides under COMPETENCE and CONNECT Asia initiatives
- Development of new application software database for new project under the guidance of relevant program specialist
- Identifying local suppliers for printing and production of audio visual materials and ensure the output is delivered in proper quality and time.
- Carry out any other tasks that may be assigned by Science Coordinator and Director of UNESCO Office, Jakarta
- Advanced university degree (Masters) in software engineering with a good understanding of web based knowledge systems.
- Large expertise in software development using HTML, Joomla, PHP, Java, and other relevant software.
- Fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading and writing.
- Good at organization and planning, including the ability to organize own work, handle multiple concurrent projects and activities and manage complex projects, as well as able to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (spoken, written) and able to exchange information on complex issues related to environment and development.
- Willingness to work in a team and strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a multicultural environment.
- More than 3 years of related practical working experience.
